If anyone would like to help with the loon count on July 16th, we can still use a few counters. For more information on the loon count, please see post below. Contact Steve Buzzell via the contact form on this site by Wednesday, July 13th and he will assign you a place on the lake so that we can get the entire lake counted.

Clear your calendar for the morning of July 16th and join us for the 28th Maine Audubon annual loon count. All it takes is a short part of your day to help us count the loons on Nicatous Lake. If you are interested, please contact Steve Buzzell by using the contact form on this site or stop by camp.
The count takes place from 7 AM – 7:30 AM and is held rain or shine (or wind). All you need is a boat and a willingness to get and out a bit earlier than usual. We hope to hear from some of you. This lake is large and the more we can split it up, the better it will be to get an accurate count. Also, if anyone know of any nests on the lake, please let Steve know, even if you are unable to count the loons. He can note the nest sites on the final paperwork that he sends to the Audubon Society.
We are on our way home from Florida and just got word that the road opened on Monday. Yay!! Hope everyone has wintered well. See ya at camp!!
