Because of heavy rains, the roads are impassable. The roads will NOT be opened on the 9th as AFM was hoping. They will re-evaluate road conditions on Monday and at this time, they are hoping that they will be able to open them on either Tuesday, the 10th or Wednesday, the 11th. I will post the opening date as soon a I find out.
Roads will still be closed at least through May 8th, when they will re-evaluate the condition. Check back for further updates.
Roads are still closed and will probably be closed to at least May 9th, depending on the conditions at that time. As of the 20th, the main roads were soft and the side roads were still snow covered. Stay tuned…
It’s spring in Maine and that mean the dreaded “MUD SEASON”. To find out the latest road closures and when they open again, you can call for the automated message at American Forest Management. The phone number is 207-827-3700 – Extension 100.
Mud season will be over before you know it.
Todd Massey, who has taken over for Jim Ward, emailed the following message:
“All roads including the 32-00-0 road will be closed as of this Friday, March 12, due to spring mud season conditions. Roads will be reopened as soon as mud season ends and roads improve. Thank you for your cooperation.”
We will post again when he notifies us that the roads are open again.
